Contact

There is no contact form on this site, deliberately. Everything goes to one email address, which means nothing about you is stored anywhere except in the message you chose to send.

The address

info@threat-guard.site

Messages are read on business days and answered as soon as we reasonably can. Please include the address of the page you are writing about — it makes a correction far quicker to act on.

What we can help with

  • Corrections. If something on a page is wrong, out of date, or no longer matches what a platform actually does, tell us and we will check it and amend the page.
  • Questions about the commercial arrangement. Anything the affiliate disclosure page does not answer about how this site is paid.
  • Privacy requests. Access to, or correction of, any personal information the publisher holds about you — which, in the ordinary case of someone who has simply read the site, is nothing at all. The privacy policy explains the process and your options if you are not satisfied with the response.
  • Suggestions for the path. If a question you needed answered is missing from the six steps, it is useful to know.

What we cannot help with

We are not a security vendor, a support desk or a licence reseller, and there are things it would be irresponsible for us to attempt.

  • Product support, billing, refunds and cancellations. These belong with the vendor you bought from. We hold no account of yours, cannot see your subscription, and cannot change or refund anything.
  • Diagnosing a specific device. We cannot tell you whether a particular computer is infected. Anyone offering to do that remotely, unsolicited, is running the scam described in step six.
  • Urgent incidents. If money has moved, contact your bank first. For cybercrime, report to the Australian Cyber Security Centre; for scams, to Scamwatch; for an immediate threat to safety, Triple Zero (000). Email to this site is not monitored continuously and is not a reporting channel.

Please do not send us sensitive information

Ordinary email is not a secure channel. Do not include passwords, one-time codes, card numbers, identity document numbers or banking details in a message to us — we have no use for any of it and would ask you to change anything you did send. A description of the problem and the page address is all that is ever needed.

What happens to your message

It is received in the publisher's mailbox, read by the publisher's staff, and kept while the matter is open and for a period afterwards so that we have a record of what was asked and answered. It is not added to any mailing list, because none exists, and it is not passed to any vendor, including the one this site links to. The retention period and the rest of the detail are set out in the privacy policy.
